Main Texts:
• Exodus 8:22-23 – God sets apart Goshen
• Matthew 16:18 – Jesus builds His Church
• Hebrews 12:22-24 – The Church as Mount Zion
• Ephesians 3:10 – The Church as the display of God’s wisdom

My Objective:

To awaken the Body of Christ to the reality that the Church is more than a religious institution—it is God’s ordained place of protection, provision, distinction, and manifestation for His people in turbulent times.

I. What Was Goshen? (Exodus 8–12)

A physical place in Egypt where:
• God’s covenant people dwelt
• Plagues did not touch them
• Light remained when Egypt was in darkness (Exodus 10:23)
• They were separated, preserved, and positioned for Exodus

Prophetic truth:
Goshen was a sign that God always makes a distinction between His people and the systems of this world.

II. The Church is Today’s Goshen

A. A Place of Covering and Covenant

Hebrews 12:22-24 – We have come to Mount Zion
Psalm 91:1 – Dwelling under the shadow of the Almighty

• The Church offers spiritual shelter. • Through sound teaching, prayer, and fellowship, believers remain under divine protection.

Application: In chaotic times, your safety is tied to your alignment with God’s house and covenant.

B. A Place of Refuge in Times of Crisis

Proverbs 18:10 – The name of the Lord is a strong tower
Acts 2:42-47 – They gathered, prayed, shared, and none lacked

• The Church offers emotional, spiritual, and even material support. • We find peace in worship, clarity in the Word, and comfort in community.

Prophetic note: Goshen isn’t just a place—it’s a spiritual ecosystem of peace in a world at war.

C. A Place of Separation and Sanctification

2 Corinthians 6:17 – Come out from among them
1 Peter 2:9 – A royal priesthood, set apart

• Goshen marked the Israelites as different. • The Church is not meant to blend in, but to stand out in purity, truth, and power.

Challenge: Don’t just attend church—be the Church. Live the distinction.

D. A Place of Provision and Restoration

Genesis 47:27 – They acquired property, were fruitful in Goshen
Philippians 4:19 – God supplies all our needs
Acts 4:34 – There was no lack among them

• In Goshen, Israel thrived while Egypt struggled. • The Church provides opportunities for restoration—of dignity, destiny, and resources.

Kingdom economy functions through Church alignment.

E. A Place of Glory and Manifestation

Ephesians 3:10 – Through the Church, God’s wisdom is revealed
Isaiah 60:2 – Darkness will cover the earth, but His glory rises upon you

• Goshen was a display of God’s power. • Today, the Church is where healing, miracles, and transformation happen.

Now is the time for the Church to shine—not shrink.

🔸 III. God’s Present Call: “Go to Goshen and Remain There”

Just as God told the Israelites to remain in Goshen, He is telling His children today:

• Stay planted in the Church. • Stay faithful in community. • Stay focused on Kingdom purpose.

Because in Goshen, there is:
• Light in darkness
• Peace in chaos
• Provision in famine
• Hope in despair
• Preservation in judgment

Conclusion & a Call to Action:

Reflection Questions:
• Are you planted in Goshen or wandering in Egypt?
• Is your life under spiritual covering?
• Are you aligned with the Church or disconnected?

Call:
This is not the time to be spiritually casual—it’s the time to be covenantally rooted. Stay in Goshen. Stay in the Church. Stay under covering.
