Thankful For More https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/thankful-for-more/ Wed, 26 Nov 2025 21:42:21 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=642 Today is national THANKSGIVING DAY in the United States of America. And, of course, it has become a global trend. It is a Commendable trend.

Most people see gratitude as a polite emotion. But gratitude is actually a growth accelerator.

It expands your mindset, increases hope, strengthens resilience, and positions you to see opportunities that were always there—but hidden behind stress, fear, or routine.

In this post, I want to discuss and coach on how to use gratitude to step into MORE:

  • more clarity
  • more purpose
  • more emotional strength
  • more direction
  • more confidence
  • more self-awareness
  • more inner peace
  • more capacity for success

We’re exploring gratitude not as a holiday tradition but as a transformational practice.  .  .

1. Gratitude Expands Your Capacity

Inspired by Ezekiel 47:1-6

Then the man brought me back to the entrance of the temple, and I saw water flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar. Next he brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and there I saw the water trickling out from the south side. As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubitsa and led me through ankle-deep water. Then he measured off a thousand cubits and led me through knee-deep water. Again he measured a thousand cubits and led me through waist-deep water. Once again he measured off a thousand cubits, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough for swimming—a river that could not be crossed on foot. “Son of man, do you see this?” he asked. Then he led me back to the bank of the river.

The river in this ancient story kept increasing—ankle deep, knee deep, waist deep, until it became overwhelming.

Life works the same way.

Your mindset expands in stages.

Gratitude is what moves you from:

  • survival → stability
  • stability → growth
  • growth → overflow

POINT TO NOTE:

Gratitude stretches your inner capacity.

When you practice gratitude, your ability to handle more—emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and professionally—begins to rise.

Reflection Questions:

  • Where am I still operating at “ankle-deep” capacity?
  • What am I grateful for that I haven’t acknowledged lately?
  • What could grow in my life if I practiced gratitude consistently?

 2. Gratitude Strengthens Your Identity

Inspired by Romans 8:37

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

This isn’t about religion—this is about identity.

People who practice gratitude:

✔ feel more empowered
✔ see problems as challenges, not threats
✔ develop a stronger internal identity
✔ bounce back faster

This is the “MORE than a conqueror” mindset.

POINT TO NOTE:

Gratitude reframes your story.

When you look at what you’ve overcome, what you’ve survived, and what you’ve learned, your self-perception shifts from victim → victor.

Journaling Exercise:

Write down 5 things you’ve overcome in the last 5 years.

Then write:

“I did that. I grew. I survived. I’m still standing.”

That’s gratitude at work.

3. Gratitude Is a Daily Practice that Grounds You

Inspired by Psalm 92:1–2

It is good to give thanks to the LORD and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night

Modern research backs this up:

People who intentionally practice gratitude:

  • sleep better
  • experience less anxiety
  • show higher emotional resilience
  • build stronger relationships

Gratitude isn’t a reaction.

It’s a rhythm.

POINT TO NOTE:

Make gratitude your daily grounding ritual.

Try This:

  • Morning: “What am I grateful for today?”
  • Evening: “What went right today?”

These two statements alone can shift your emotional climate.

4. Gratitude Helps You Experience Wholeness, Not Just Relief

Inspired by Luke 17:15-19

When one of them saw that he was healed, he came back, praising God in a loud voice. He fell facedown at Jesus’ feet in thanksgiving to Him—and he was a Samaritan. “Were not all ten cleansed?” Jesus asked. “Where then are the other nine? Was no one found except this foreigner to return and give glory to God?” Then Jesus said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well!

Ten people experienced breakthrough.

Only one returned with gratitude.

He received something deeper: wholeness.

Today we would call that:

  • emotional alignment
  • mental clarity
  • spiritual centeredness
  • restored confidence
  • inner peace

POINT TO NOTE:

Gratitude doesn’t just celebrate outcomes—it heals inner places.

Ask Yourself:

  • Where do I need wholeness, not just answers?
  • What part of my story needs grateful acknowledgment so I can finally heal?

5. Gratitude Releases Possibility & Creativity

Inspired by Ephesians 3:20

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

Gratitude opens your mind.

It activates creativity.

It unlocks ideas.

It widens perspective.

When you practice gratitude, your mind becomes more solution-oriented and less fear-driven.

You start seeing possibilities you overlooked before.

POINT TO NOTE:

Gratitude creates mental space for MORE—more ideas, more solutions, more confidence, more opportunities.

Action Step:

List 3 things you’re thankful for today that once seemed impossible.

This shifts your mind into an “abundance lens.”

CLOSING — Gratitude Is Your Bridge Into MORE

You don’t get “MORE” by trying harder.

You step into MORE by:

  • seeing better
  • thinking deeper
  • grounding yourself
  • healing internally
  • enlarging your capacity
  • opening your perspective

Gratitude is the bridge.

When your heart is grateful, your eyes open…

and when your eyes open, you begin to see MORE.

MAKE THESE DECLARATIONS

  • I am expanding into MORE.
  • I am grateful for progress seen and unseen.
  • I am open to new possibilities and new opportunities.
  • Every day, I am growing in clarity, purpose, and strength.

I am thankful for how far I’ve come and excited for what’s ahead.

May Is Here https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/may-is-here/ Thu, 01 May 2025 21:47:49 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=502 Happy New Month!

The prophetic word for May is:

“Your people shall be volunteers in the day of *Your power;
In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning,
You have the dew of Your youth.”
— Psalm 110:3 (NKJV)

I’m strongly convinced that starting this May—and beyond—God desires to reveal the fullness of His presence: His power, fire, and glory. These three are inseparable.

The Day of His Power is a Time of Divine Breakthrough.

  • “In the day of Your power” refers to divine visitation, heavenly movement, revival, and the advancement of God’s kingdom.
  • When God moves in power, nothing remains the same. (See Acts 1:8, Isaiah 40:10.)
  • The question isn’t if the Day of His Power is coming—it’s whether you’ll be among the willing when it arrives.

This month, take personal responsibility for your outcome. Ask yourself:

  • What do I intend to accomplish in May?
  • What strategies will I apply to meet those goals?
  • How will the anchor scripture guide my daily walk?

Growth is a personal journey, and you are the only constant in the equation of your life. Don’t leave your month to chance—show up for it intentionally.

If you desire a new outcome and need a trained professional to walk alongside you, let’s connect. This is my passion: helping you connect with your authentic self.

Welcome to your month of FIRE + POWER + GLORY!

With warmth and purpose,

The Resurrection Power of Jesus Christ https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/the-resurrection-power-of-jesus-christ/ Mon, 28 Apr 2025 13:15:42 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=499

“And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you.”
Romans 8:11 (NIV)

While we joyfully celebrate the Christmas season because of the birth of Christ, the Easter season—often considered bittersweet—invites us to reflect deeply on His death and resurrection.

The resurrection power of Christ refers to the divine power that raised Jesus from the dead, as described in the New Testament, and the ongoing power of that resurrection in the life of every believer. It’s not just a past event—it’s a living, transformative force that impacts our spiritual, emotional, and even physical lives today.

What Is the Resurrection Power of Christ?

1. Power Over Death
Jesus’ resurrection demonstrates His victory over sin, death, and the grave (Romans 6:9). It proves that death no longer has the final say.

2. Divine Life-Giving Power
The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in us (Romans 8:11), giving us new life and enabling us to walk in victory and transformation.

3. Proof of Jesus’ Identity
The resurrection confirms Jesus as the Son of God. It validates that His teachings and His sacrifice were true and accepted by God (Romans 1:4).

The Significance of the Resurrection Power

1. Salvation & Justification
The resurrection is proof that Jesus’ sacrifice was accepted by God. It secures our justification (Romans 4:25). Without the resurrection, our faith would be in vain (1 Corinthians 15:17).

2. New Life & Transformation
Resurrection power enables believers to live a new life in Christ (Romans 6:4). It’s a transformation from the inside out—freedom from the bondage of sin and shame.

3. Hope for the Future
Because Christ was raised, believers have the assurance of eternal life and their own future resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:20–22). This is the foundation of Christian hope.

4. Empowerment for Purpose
The same power that raised Jesus equips us for our divine purpose. It brings spiritual gifts, strength for ministry, and boldness to walk in obedience.

5. Victory in Daily Living
Resurrection power means you never fight your battles alone. It provides strength in weakness, peace in chaos, and joy in suffering. It empowers us to overcome trials and live in unwavering faith.

Further Reflection

Consider meditating on:
Philippians 3:10 – “…that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection…”
Ephesians 1:19–20 – “…the incomparable great power for us who believe… that power is the same as the mighty strength He exerted when He raised Christ from the dead…”

Reflection Questions

1. Where in your life do you need resurrection power right now?
2. What might God be asking you to surrender so that His power can be made perfect in you?
3. How can you walk more deeply with Christ—not just in His victory, but also in His humility and suffering?

HAPPY EASTER!

April: Our Month of Thanksgiving https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/april-our-month-of-thanksgiving/ Tue, 01 Apr 2025 23:53:23 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=491 “Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small”. Jeremiah 30:19 (NKJV)

It is always important to have a prophetic word for the month to provide direction and purpose. April is our *Month of Thanksgiving*, and the Spirit of God has given us Jeremiah 30:19 as our guiding word.

Expect a positive turnaround in every area of your life this month. Every setback will turn into joy, and all forms of negativity will be replaced with celebration. Long-awaited prayers will be answered, and you will experience both spiritual and economic growth.

It’s the Season of Giving & Receiving https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/its-the-season-of-giving-receiving/ Wed, 04 Dec 2024 04:42:54 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=467 Happy New Month!

As we step into the festive month of December, we’re reminded of the best Gift ever! – JESUS. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

This season is a reminder that we will always have the poor, the underserved and those who are underprivileged around us. It is a season to demonstrate acts of love and kindness by reaching out to them with gifts whether in kindness or cash.

Scriptures teach us that when we give, we shall receive as well; that, it is more blessed to give than to receive and similar verses. This is a season you can give and be certain that you will be rewarded for your generosity because giving always precedes receiving as expressed by Paul in Philippians 4:15; “. . . not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only.”

We, therefore, invite you to join us in spreading love and kindness in this season by participating in our charity drive by donating to the Adebimpe Daniel-Ishola Foundation. We will share more on this in the coming days.

Thank you for being part of our community; feel free to invite a friend to join us by clicking this link: https://bit.ly/4d2gGzA

Nigeria @ 64! https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/nigeria-64/ Wed, 02 Oct 2024 09:30:19 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=426 As Nigeria celebrates its 64th Independence anniversary, we reflect on the true meaning of freedom. Political freedom, though significant, is only the beginning.

Mental freedom, however, remains an elusive dream for many Nigerians.

We’re still enslaved by:

  • Negative mindsets
  • Self-doubt
  • Fear of progress
  • Ethnic and religious divisions
  • Corruption
  • Poverty mentality

But the truth remains: “As a man thinks, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). Our thoughts shape our reality.

To achieve moral, emotional, psychological, financial, social, political, and economic freedom, we need a mental shift.
This requires:

  • Systemic reforms
  • Moral rejuvenation
  • Social reorientation
  • Personal responsibility

As Christians, we know our freedom is guaranteed in Christ Jesus (Galatians 5:1). However, faith without works is dead (James 2:26).

We must:

  • Work out our salvation (Philippians 2:12)
  • Embrace personal transformation
  • Take collective action

The Change Starts with You!

Jesus died for the world’s freedom, but each individual must receive His gift of eternal life (John 3:16).
The change Nigeria needs begins with You, Me and Us!

As we mark this milestone, ask yourself:
What will I do differently to make Nigeria great?
Will I challenge negative mindsets?
Will I promote unity and understanding?

Join us in praying for Nigeria’s transformation
Support initiatives promoting mental freedom
Empower others through education and mentorship
Advocate for social justice

From all of us at CCC, Happy Independence Day!

May Nigeria rise to greatness, starting with each of us.

The Paradox of Freedom – July 4th https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/the-paradox-of-freedom-july-4th/ Fri, 05 Jul 2024 08:34:20 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=393

“*It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”‭‭

Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬ ‭NIV

Freedom is NEVER a license to live a life without restraints. A life without restrictions or considerations for consequences of one’s actions is pure insanity. Absolute freedom can actually lead to the loss of freedom being sought if there are no restrictions, limitations or checks.

America’s freedom was obtained at a high cost with a promise to be one nation under God. Is America still a nation under God? I leave you to answer that question. In Christ, the freedom which He obtained for us moves us to express our love with constraints….

“If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. For Christ’s love compels us. . .”

(2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭NIV‬)‬

Hence, we  live circumspectly, not as fools. We live to understand His will, follow His lead and bring Him glory.

“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”

(‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭15‬-‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

As we entertain ourselves with fun, food, BBQ and the fanfare of the colorful parade today celebrating the 248th anniversary of America’s independence, let us as believers take time to reflect on the freedom that Christ obtained for us and, whether, if, & how we are manifesting it. . .

Happy July 4th!
God bless America!

From all of us,
Connect Coaching Center LLC.
