Inspiration – Woman of Substance International https://iamawomanofsubstance.org Thu, 27 Nov 2025 17:30:40 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.9 Thankful For More https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/thankful-for-more/ Wed, 26 Nov 2025 21:42:21 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=642 Today is national THANKSGIVING DAY in the United States of America. And, of course, it has become a global trend. It is a Commendable trend.

Most people see gratitude as a polite emotion. But gratitude is actually a growth accelerator.

It expands your mindset, increases hope, strengthens resilience, and positions you to see opportunities that were always there—but hidden behind stress, fear, or routine.

In this post, I want to discuss and coach on how to use gratitude to step into MORE:

  • more clarity
  • more purpose
  • more emotional strength
  • more direction
  • more confidence
  • more self-awareness
  • more inner peace
  • more capacity for success

We’re exploring gratitude not as a holiday tradition but as a transformational practice.  .  .

1. Gratitude Expands Your Capacity

Inspired by Ezekiel 47:1-6

Then the man brought me back to the entrance of the temple, and I saw water flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar. Next he brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and there I saw the water trickling out from the south side. As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubitsa and led me through ankle-deep water. Then he measured off a thousand cubits and led me through knee-deep water. Again he measured a thousand cubits and led me through waist-deep water. Once again he measured off a thousand cubits, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough for swimming—a river that could not be crossed on foot. “Son of man, do you see this?” he asked. Then he led me back to the bank of the river.

The river in this ancient story kept increasing—ankle deep, knee deep, waist deep, until it became overwhelming.

Life works the same way.

Your mindset expands in stages.

Gratitude is what moves you from:

  • survival → stability
  • stability → growth
  • growth → overflow

POINT TO NOTE:

Gratitude stretches your inner capacity.

When you practice gratitude, your ability to handle more—emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and professionally—begins to rise.

Reflection Questions:

  • Where am I still operating at “ankle-deep” capacity?
  • What am I grateful for that I haven’t acknowledged lately?
  • What could grow in my life if I practiced gratitude consistently?

 2. Gratitude Strengthens Your Identity

Inspired by Romans 8:37

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

This isn’t about religion—this is about identity.

People who practice gratitude:

✔ feel more empowered
✔ see problems as challenges, not threats
✔ develop a stronger internal identity
✔ bounce back faster

This is the “MORE than a conqueror” mindset.

POINT TO NOTE:

Gratitude reframes your story.

When you look at what you’ve overcome, what you’ve survived, and what you’ve learned, your self-perception shifts from victim → victor.

Journaling Exercise:

Write down 5 things you’ve overcome in the last 5 years.

Then write:

“I did that. I grew. I survived. I’m still standing.”

That’s gratitude at work.

3. Gratitude Is a Daily Practice that Grounds You

Inspired by Psalm 92:1–2

It is good to give thanks to the LORD and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night

Modern research backs this up:

People who intentionally practice gratitude:

  • sleep better
  • experience less anxiety
  • show higher emotional resilience
  • build stronger relationships

Gratitude isn’t a reaction.

It’s a rhythm.

POINT TO NOTE:

Make gratitude your daily grounding ritual.

Try This:

  • Morning: “What am I grateful for today?”
  • Evening: “What went right today?”

These two statements alone can shift your emotional climate.

4. Gratitude Helps You Experience Wholeness, Not Just Relief

Inspired by Luke 17:15-19

When one of them saw that he was healed, he came back, praising God in a loud voice. He fell facedown at Jesus’ feet in thanksgiving to Him—and he was a Samaritan. “Were not all ten cleansed?” Jesus asked. “Where then are the other nine? Was no one found except this foreigner to return and give glory to God?” Then Jesus said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well!

Ten people experienced breakthrough.

Only one returned with gratitude.

He received something deeper: wholeness.

Today we would call that:

  • emotional alignment
  • mental clarity
  • spiritual centeredness
  • restored confidence
  • inner peace

POINT TO NOTE:

Gratitude doesn’t just celebrate outcomes—it heals inner places.

Ask Yourself:

  • Where do I need wholeness, not just answers?
  • What part of my story needs grateful acknowledgment so I can finally heal?

5. Gratitude Releases Possibility & Creativity

Inspired by Ephesians 3:20

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

Gratitude opens your mind.

It activates creativity.

It unlocks ideas.

It widens perspective.

When you practice gratitude, your mind becomes more solution-oriented and less fear-driven.

You start seeing possibilities you overlooked before.

POINT TO NOTE:

Gratitude creates mental space for MORE—more ideas, more solutions, more confidence, more opportunities.

Action Step:

List 3 things you’re thankful for today that once seemed impossible.

This shifts your mind into an “abundance lens.”

CLOSING — Gratitude Is Your Bridge Into MORE

You don’t get “MORE” by trying harder.

You step into MORE by:

  • seeing better
  • thinking deeper
  • grounding yourself
  • healing internally
  • enlarging your capacity
  • opening your perspective

Gratitude is the bridge.

When your heart is grateful, your eyes open…

and when your eyes open, you begin to see MORE.

MAKE THESE DECLARATIONS

  • I am expanding into MORE.
  • I am grateful for progress seen and unseen.
  • I am open to new possibilities and new opportunities.
  • Every day, I am growing in clarity, purpose, and strength.

I am thankful for how far I’ve come and excited for what’s ahead.

Welcome to November – The Month of MORE https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/welcome-to-november-the-month-of-more/ Sun, 02 Nov 2025 20:59:03 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=635 In Ezekiel 47:3–5, Prophet Ezekiel saw waters rising from the Temple — from ankle-deep to waters deep enough to swim in. This vision reveals God’s desire to take us deeper — from surface-level experiences to overflow dimensions in His Spirit.

Jesus confirmed this invitation when He cried, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink… out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water” (John 7:37–39).

In Deuteronomy 1:6–7

“The Lord our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount: turn you, and take your journey…”

The eleventh month represents divine transition. God’s word to Israel still echoes today — “You have dwelt long enough.” It’s time to break the cycle of spiritual stagnation and move into new territory. Sometimes, “more” begins with movement — stepping out of comfort zones and into God’s next instruction.

As the year draws toward its end, God crowns it with abundance. Psalm 65:11. November is a threshold month — a bridge between what has been and what’s about to be. Expect divine overflow, supernatural favor, and multiplied fruit as you walk in the “more” of His Spirit.

This month, God is calling you to:
💧 Desire More of His Presence.
💧 Yield More to His Spirit.
💧 Believe for More in your purpose, your calling, and your capacity.
💧 Press toward the higher mark (Philippians 3:13–14).

You have not seen all that God has prepared for you (1 Corinthians 2:9–10).
So, rise in faith and expectation — this is your Month of More!

Prayer:

Lord, measure me again and lead me deeper into Your river. Let my life overflow with Your power, peace, and purpose.

Where Are You? https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/where-are-you/ Thu, 30 Oct 2025 14:41:00 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=629 Text: Genesis 3:9

“But the Lord God called to the man, ‘Where are you?’” — Genesis 3:9 (NIV)

As October draws to a close and we step into November, God’s timeless question to Adam still echoes in our hearts today: “Where are you?”

This question isn’t about location — it’s about alignment. It’s a divine call to examine where we stand in relation to God’s purpose, our values, and the totality of who we were created to be.

As believers, complacency is never an option. There is always more in Christ. The more you know Him, the more you realize how much more there is to discover — more grace to grow in, more truth to embrace, more love to reflect, and more purpose to fulfill.

So, as October rolls into November, pause and reflect:
Where are you mentally? Are your thoughts aligned with the mind of Christ or distracted by fear, doubt, or comparison?
Where are you emotionally? Are you whole, healing, or hiding behind unresolved hurts?
Where are you financially and health-wise? Are you stewarding your resources and body as vessels of divine purpose?
And most importantly, where are you spiritually? Are you growing deeper in your walk, or drifting quietly from intimacy with God?

Month ends, year ends — even week ends — are divine invitations for reflection, renewal, refocus, and realignment.

Jesus reminds us in Luke 14:28 to count the cost and plan wisely. Proverbs 3:5-6 calls us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding. 1 Corinthians 3:18 urges us to keep growing, becoming wiser and better in Christ. And Philippians 3:13-14 challenges us to keep pressing forward and to stop looking backwards.

So as we round up October and approach the final stretch of 2025, take a moment to ask yourself:
• What are my reflections?
• What are my plans for the rest of the year?
• What are my hopes, and upon Whom are they based?

Let this question from God — “Where are you?” — not bring guilt, but grace. It’s not condemnation; it’s an invitation — an invitation to return, to realign, and to rediscover your true position in Him.

As you step into the new month, may you be found in the center of His will, growing in faith, purpose, and authentic connection with your Maker.

So, beloved, as October ends — where are you?

Connecting with Yahweh: The God Who Is https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/connecting-with-yahweh-the-god-who-is/ Mon, 13 Oct 2025 18:13:12 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=616 Dear Authentic Friend,

This week, let’s pause and reflect on what it truly means to connect with Yahweh — the God who is.

When God revealed Himself to Moses, saying, “I AM WHO I AM” (Exodus 3:14), He wasn’t just introducing a name; He was unveiling His eternal essence — YHWH (Yahweh), The Self-Existent One.

He is not bound by time, emotion, or circumstance.

He was, He is, and He will forever be.

To connect with Yahweh is to align your heart and spirit with the unchanging One — to live aware of His constant presence even when life feels uncertain. In that awareness, peace is restored, clarity returns, and faith becomes steady again.

This Week’s Focus: Practicing Presence with Yahweh

Here are three simple ways to deepen your spiritual and emotional alignment this week:

  1. 🌬 Breathe His Name: Whisper “Yahweh” — “Yah” as you inhale, “weh” as you exhale. Let His name center you in calm and awareness.
  2. 🙌🏽 Acknowledge His Presence: Throughout your day, pause and affirm, “Yahweh, You are here.”
  3. 💎 Anchor in His Character: Remember who He is — Yahweh Jireh (Provider), Yahweh Shalom (Peace), Yahweh Shammah (Ever-Present).

Wellness flows when your heart rests in who Yahweh is, not in what you can control.

Community Reflection Prompt

How does knowing Yahweh as “I AM” shape the way you respond to uncertainty, pressure, or waiting seasons?

Take a few minutes to journal your reflection — or share your thoughts with our Authentic Coaching Community. Your insight might encourage someone walking a similar path.

From Coach Bimpe

As you continue your journey toward authenticity and wholeness, remember this truth:

The most authentic version of you is the one who lives fully aware of Yahweh’s presence.

You are seen. You are loved. You are never alone — because Yahweh is.

With grace and peace,

Coach Bimpe

Belief Is Key https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/belief-is-key/ Fri, 20 Dec 2024 14:14:10 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=472 As we continue our Christmas Stories Series, exploring Lessons from the Birth of Jesus, we’re reminded of the power of belief. In Luke 1:45, Elizabeth’s statement “Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!” highlights the importance of trust and faith in our relationship with God.

But what does it mean to truly believe? Is it just a mental assent or a deep-seated trust? Elizabeth’s belief was rooted in her personal experience with God, who had fulfilled his promise to her and her husband Zachariah despite physical circumstances that seemed impossible.

In John 11:25, Jesus reminds us that even in the face of death and despair, our belief in Him can bring life and resurrection. What has died in your life? Is it hope, a business, a ministry, or a relationship? Jesus says, “If you believe in me, whatever has died shall live.”

As we approach the new year, 2025, we’re expectant and praying for great things. But we must remember that our belief is not just about acknowledging God’s existence, but about relying on Him for direction and counsel. Do you put God’s word above all else? Do you trust in His promises and character?

Take time to reflect on your beliefs and ask yourself:

  • What evidence do I have of God’s faithfulness in my life?
  • Do I truly rely on God for direction and counsel?
  • Have I experienced God’s presence and power in my life?

As we celebrate this season, remember that Belief is Key. Create your 2025 based on the integrity and infallibility of God’s word, His character, and how He has shown up for you before.

Join us for Fruitful Friday Prayers tomorrow on Zoom at 6:00am EST & 12:00 Noon WAT as we pray and believe God for a remarkable 2025. Let’s start the new year with faith, hope, and trust in our Heavenly Father.

The Divine Art Of Naming https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/the-divine-art-of-naming/ https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/the-divine-art-of-naming/#comments Sun, 14 Jan 2024 00:43:43 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=356 When our first daughter received a collection of dolls as gifts, her unique way of playing with them left a lasting impression. I vividly recall her lining them up, each with a name she’d selected for them. Among the various names, one stood out – “Power.” Strange name for a doll!  This moment sparked my curiosity about the significance we attach to names.

Thinking about the origins of how humans learned to name their children raised many questions. Was it instinctive, or did we receive guidance? How did this universal tradition begin? Although historical records might not provide clear answers, the scriptures offer a compelling perspective. In Genesis 2:19-20, Adam is tasked with naming every living creature, showcasing the divine importance of names.

“Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. *And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name*. So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field.” [Genesis 2:19-20 NKJV]

Adam’s naming didn’t stop at animals, it extended to his wife, Eve, as seen in Genesis 3:20. This biblical foundation emphasizes the significance of names in defining identity and purpose.

“And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.” [Genesis 3:20 KJV]

God made humans in His image and likeness. The scriptures further assert our divine identity in Psalms 82:6: “I say, ‘You are gods; you are all children of the Most High.’”(NLT)  This declaration implies that we are “gods” with attributes and abilities akin to the Most High. He gave us the power to take ownership of our identity, and thus our destiny.

That being established, it shouldn’t be too hard to believe that God blessed us with supernatural powers to rule, reign and dominate everything that He’s created. Our ability to assign names is only the beginning of the superpowers God has given us.

“Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”“
Genesis 1:28 NKJV

In my reckoning based on the scripture, our God-given creative prowess can influence natural forces – from the moon, stars, and fire to storms, wind, and the earth itself.

The Bible recounts instances where individuals exercised extraordinary authority over nature. For instance, Joshua, in Joshua 10:12-14 (NKJV), commanded the sun and moon to stand still, showcasing the potential influence of humanity over celestial bodies.

“Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel: “Sun, stand still over Gibeon; And Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.” So the sun stood still, And the moon stopped, Till the people had revenge Upon their enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day. And there has been no day like that, before it or after it, that the Lord heeded the voice of a man; for the Lord fought for Israel.”
[Joshua 10:12-14 NKJV]

Similarly, Moses, in Numbers 16:28-34 (NKJV), demonstrated divine authority as the earth opened to swallow dissenters. These narratives illustrate the underutilized supernatural abilities within humanity.

“And Moses said: ‘By this you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these works, for I have not done them of my own will. If these men die naturally like all men, or if they are visited by the common fate of all men, then the Lord has not sent me. But if the Lord creates a new thing, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the pit, then you will understand that these men have rejected the Lord.’ Now it came to pass, as he finished speaking all these words, that the ground split apart under them, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods. So they and all those with them went down alive into the pit; the earth closed over them, and they perished from among the assembly. Then all Israel who were around them fled at their cry, for they said, ‘Lest the earth swallow us up also!’”
Numbers 16:28-34 NKJV

Over my many years as a pastor, I’ve noticed a significant undervaluation of our supernatural abilities among us humans, particularly believers! We’re either ignorant, timid, or careless when it comes to the inherent principles of power God has bestowed on us. Interestingly, the secular world not only seems to comprehend these principles at some level, but actively applies them, yielding positive results.

In scripture, the profound statement that “life and death are in the power of the tongue” is equivalent to the popular term, “affirmation.” When believers talk about the “power of the Holy Spirit,” the rest of the world calls it, “positive energy.” Similarly, the omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence of the Trinity is often distilled to the broad concept referred to as “the universe.”

In 2024, will you dare have a new mindset? A mindset that says “I can create my own reality through intentional positive utterances”

The Best Gift https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/the-best-gift/ Wed, 27 Dec 2023 10:41:46 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=311 Imagine someone deprived of the ability to walk, see, or hear for three decades. The most meaningful and thrilling gift for them would be the restoration of these fundamental senses and mobility.

We all love gifts and to be gifted. However, not everyone loves to give.

People give gifts for various reasons:

  1. The joy in giving.
  2. The warm feeling you get as a result of being the person who is able to bless another person.
  3. The reward in giving. When you give you can expect a reward in proportion of your giving ability. ”Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” – Luke 6:38 NLT
  4. Some people give out of the generosity of their heart, not expecting any reward.
  5. Gifts open the door to lots of opportunities. Your gifts can connect you to your destiny helpers. ”Giving a gift can open doors; it gives access to important people!“ Proverbs 18:16 NLT

Whatever your motive whenever you give, ensure you give in proportion to your faith. Do not give out of compulsion. More importantly, imitate the Giver of the best gift ever. God gave Jesus to the world out of love.

”For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.“
John 3:16 NIV

”When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.“
Romans 5:6

The Yuletide or Christmas season serves as a reminder that God bestowed the world’s greatest gift ever: Jesus. However, it is essential for this gift to be willingly received.

”But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.“
John 1:12 NLT

Christmas reminds us that there’s hope. This is so powerfully needed in the world we are in right now. Crime, moral decadence, corruption, self will and what is now referred to as “alternative truths” are dangerously prevalent. God offered hope to humanity through Christ Jesus.

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”“
John 16:33 NLT

As we eat, drink and merry with family members and friends, will you take a moment to ask yourself “Should l die at this moment, where will I spend my eternity”? Accepting the Lordship of Christ over your life is a guarantee to spend eternity with Him in peace.

All of us at Connect Coaching Center wish you a merry Christmas and an amazing 2024.
