Monday Morning Motivation – Woman of Substance International https://iamawomanofsubstance.org Mon, 27 Oct 2025 19:21:58 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.9.1 Monday Motivation: When God shakes the ground beneath us https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/monday-motivation-when-god-shakes-the-ground-beneath-us/ Mon, 27 Oct 2025 19:21:58 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=626 Hello Authentic Family!

Happy Monday!

As we step into this new week, I want to share a powerful word from Isaiah 29:6-7:

“You will be visited by the LORD of hosts with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with storm and tempest and the flame of devouring fire. And the multitude of all the nations who fight against Ariel, even all who fight against her and her fortress and distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision.”

On the surface, these verses speak of dramatic upheaval and the overthrow of forces that oppose God’s purposes. But for us today, they carry a deeper truth: sometimes we must go through shaking, disruption or challenge—but the very things that threaten us can become the catalysts for God’s deliverance, clarity, and transformation.

Here are three take-aways you can carry into your week:
1. Recognize the shake. The “thunder… earthquake… great noise” remind us that God can work even in the storms. If you’re facing uncertainty or turbulence this week, know: you’re not outside His reach.

2. Expect the overturning of what opposes you. Just as the nations that fought were rendered like “a dream of a night vision” (vanishing, unreal), what’s been opposing you can fade in light of God’s intervention.

3. Stay anchored in identity, not only in outcome. The context reminds us that faith isn’t about external blessing only—it’s about knowing that God remains sovereign, even when the shaking feels uncomfortable. When everything seems unstable, your foundation can still be firm.

This week’s encouragement: If you feel like your world’s trembling, lean in—not away. Take a breath. Declare: “God, You are with me in the quake.” And then step forward, trusting that what seems like destruction may be the making of something new.

Have a blessed week of purpose and impact, connecting to the Authentic You.

Monday Motivation: Step Off Autopilot https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/monday-motivation-step-off-autopilot/ Mon, 20 Oct 2025 19:27:22 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=621

“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10

Have you ever realized how easy it is to move through life on autopilot — doing what’s expected, checking off tasks, showing up everywhere but not really being present anywhere?

Autopilot living keeps you functioning but not flourishing. It makes you busy but not fulfilled. It dulls your awareness of who you truly are and why you’re here.

But this week, pause and wake up to purpose.

Slow down long enough to see, feel, and listen. Choose to live intentionally — not out of habit, fear, or pressure, but from a place of clarity and inner alignment.

Every moment you reclaim from autopilot is a moment of power.

When you’re aware, you can adjust. When you’re intentional, you can grow. And when you’re connected — to God, to purpose, to yourself — you can truly live.

Reflection Prompt

Ask yourself today:

➡ Where in my life have I been operating on autopilot?

➡ What one intentional choice can I make to live more awake this week?

Prayer

Father, awaken my heart where it has gone numb.
Help me not to live by habit or fear, but by Your Spirit.
Teach me to slow down, to listen, and to live intentionally in Your presence.
Let every action today reflect Your purpose in me.
Amen.

Faith + Wellness Tip

Take a 5-minute “Spirit pause” today — breathe, silence distractions, and simply say:

“Holy Spirit, I’m here. Lead me.”

You’ll be amazed how clarity and peace return when you move from autopilot to awareness.

Affirmation

I am fully present, fully aware, and fully alive.
I choose intention over routine, alignment over anxiety, and purpose over pressure.
This week, don’t just go through the motions — move with meaning.

Let your actions reflect the person you’re becoming.

The Daylight Saving Time https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/the-daylight-saving-time/ Mon, 04 Nov 2024 04:14:39 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=443

“Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him.”

Daniel 2:20-22 NKJV

While some countries have already clocked back an hour, in the United States of America we shall clock back an hour tomorrow November 3rd. Remember to set your clock back around 2:00 am local time on that day!

Isn’t it fascinating how the God of the entire universe uses everything around us to direct our hearts and minds to Him that He is the Source of all things!

Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created. . . “.

“For from Him [all things originate] and through Him [all things live and exist] and to Him are all things [directed]. To Him be glory and honor forever! Amen.”
Romans 11:36 AMP

Putting all of these together in a perspective, one can deduce the following:

  • God deserves more honor, reverence and appreciation than we often give to Him.
  • He is the Invisible One who rules over the affairs of men.
  • The Word of God (the Bible) provides guidance, offers hope, heals and does much more if only men would defer to it. Psalm 119:105; Proverbs 6:23; Hebrews 4:12
  • The only thing that is permanent is change. Even if you’re not a believer in God’s Word, the DST should offer you hope for a better future. And, if your present situation is very exciting, be cautious.
  • You should give your heart to Jesus if you’re yet to do so because by Him all things were made and He’s coming to judge the whole world sometimes soon.

“He was present originally with God. All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.”
John 1:2-3 AMPC

“For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, And the peoples with His truth.”
Psalms 96:13 NKJV

Would you like to learn more about the Daylight Saving Time? Then, read on. . .

Daylight Saving Time (DST) has a fascinating history:

History

1. 1784: Benjamin Franklin first proposes the concept of DST.
2. 1916: Germany and Austria implement DST during World War I to conserve energy.
3. 1918: United States adopts DST, but repeals it after World War I.
4. 1942: United States reinstates DST during World War II.
5. 1966: Uniform Time Act establishes DST across the United States.

Why “Spring Forward, Fall Back”?

The phrases “Spring Forward” and “Fall Back” help people remember:

Spring Forward
• In spring (March), clocks “spring forward” one hour, losing one hour of sleep.
• Typically occurs on the second Sunday in March.

Fall Back
• In fall (November), clocks “fall back” one hour, gaining one hour of sleep.
• Typically occurs on the first Sunday in November.

Rationale

1. Energy savings: Reduces energy consumption by making better use of natural daylight.
2. Economic benefits: Boosts outdoor activities, tourism, and commerce.
3. Safety: Reduces crime rates and improves visibility.

Controversies

1. Health effects: Disrupts sleep patterns, potentially impacting health.
2. Inequitable benefits: Not all regions benefit equally from DST.
3. Confusion: Causes confusion, especially for international travelers.

Global Variations

1. Not all countries observe DST.
2. Different start and end dates.
3. Some countries have half-hour deviations.

Will you accept His offer? https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/will-you-accept-his-offer/ https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/will-you-accept-his-offer/#comments Mon, 25 Mar 2024 12:33:42 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=385

“For the message of the cross is foolishness [absurd and illogical] to those who are perishing and spiritually dead [because they reject it], but to us who are being saved [by God’s grace] it is [the manifestation of] the power of God.”

–  1 Corinthians 1:18 AMP

Easter is regarded as the most important holiday of the Christian Church calendar. It celebrates Jesus’s resurrection from the dead after he was crucified for the sins of the world- this is the central tenet of the Christian faith.

Easter celebration is a week-long (referred to as the Holy Week) event  that allows Christians an opportunity to reflect upon the shift in humanity when Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross was launched. It starts with Palm Sunday when Jesus enters the city of Jerusalem. The week leads through the Last Supper, His crucifixion, and ends on Easter Sunday with His resurrection. This is the basis of Christianity. Jesus’ sacrifice launched the New Covenant God promised and which many had prophesied throughout the Old Testament.

“By enduring and defeating death sacrificially for people, Jesus swung open the gates of heaven making a way for sins to be forgiven and usher anyone who believes in Him into the presence of God

(Romans 5:8).

“But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.”

I Corinthians 15:13-15, 17-19 NKJV

What a great salvation Read Hebrews 2:2-4 Christ offered to humanity! It is a salvation that brings hope, destroys guilt and condemnation; offers eternal life of peace and joy; it offers also an abundance of everything that is good, godly and righteous.

Will you accept this great salvation? I enjoin you to do so without further delay!

Happy Easter!

O what a wonderful, wonderful day, day I will never forget;
After I’d wandered in darkness away, Jesus, my Savior, I met.
O what a tender, compassionate friend, He met the need of my heart;
Shadows dispelling, with joy I am telling, He made all the darkness depart.

Chorus
Heaven came down and glory filled my soul, (filled my soul)
When at the cross the Savior made me whole; (made me whole)
My sins were washed away and my night was turned to day,
Heaven came down and glory filled my soul! (filled my soul)

Born of the Spirit with life from above into God’s family divine,
Justified fully thru Calvary’s love, O what a standing is mine!
And the transaction so quickly was made, when as a sinner I came,
Took of the offer, of grace He did proffer, He saved me,
O praise His dear name!

Chorus

Now I’ve a hope that will surely endure after the passing of time;
I have a future in heaven for sure there in those mansions sublime.
And it’s because of that wonderful day, when at the cross I believed;
Riches eternal and blessings supernal, from His precious hand I received.

Chorus

Wait For It https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/wait-for-it/ Mon, 18 Mar 2024 23:09:09 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=382

“I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the Lord says and how he will answer my complaint. Then the Lord said to me, “Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others.”

‭‭Habakkuk‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NLT

‭‭This generation seems to have lost the ability to wait. We want instant gratification in most instances for our endeavors. Some people refer to it as the “microwave syndrome.”

But the Holy Book states:

”This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it   surely take place. It will not be delayed.“

‭‭Habakkuk‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We cannot attain a vision, rather, we must live in the inspiration of it until it accomplishes itself. We  oftentimes rush into the practical work of the vision and fail to notice when the vision is fulfilled. Oswald Chambers opines;  “Waiting for the vision that tarries is the test of our loyalty to God.”

How do you wait?

  •  In the scripture, the word “wait” means “to hope, to anticipate and to trust.” Your trust, or hope must be in the Lord and His Word; not your ability, experience or the experts’ ability.
  • Trusting in the Lord requires faith, patience, meekness, long suffering, keeping His commandments , enduring till the end. ”This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. But you would have none of it.“ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭30‬:‭15‬ ‭NLT‬‬
  • Refrain from needless fear and worry; remind yourself that your past worries, fears and anxieties did not yield the needed outcome.
  • Be prayerful; turn over your fear, anxieties and worries to God in constant prayer.
  • Be thankful for what you have and what you’re anticipating. Read Colossians 4:2
  • Recall how God faithfully fulfilled His promises to those who waited patiently for Him- Abraham waited for 25 years before he got his Isaac; Moses, Caleb, Joshua etc all waited and endured the wilderness in the hope of God’s purposes. Job waited through pain but God made his latter years greater that the former; David endured all manners of persecution and hardships before he was finally enthroned as King over both Judah and Israel; Jacob waited for 14 years before he could have the love of his life – Rachel

What are your expectations; what are you anticipating or desiring in this season of your life? No matter what it is, even though it is slow in coming, wait for it. God always makes all things beautiful in His time!

I love raising self awareness and stimulating positive self identity among believers and women in particular.

As a faith based practice, at Connect Coaching Center, we believe that even if your early years were unproductive, your later years can be highly impactful. I would like to undertake that journey with you. You can sign up for a free 20 minutes exploratory session here or send an email to: CoachBimpe@connectcoachingcenter.net

What does the scripture say? – Spirit, Soul & Body https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/what-does-the-scripture-say-spirit-soul-body/ Mon, 11 Mar 2024 20:34:54 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=375

“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Understanding our tripartite nature as humans will make our life experiences easier to navigate and more impactful. We are spirit beings with a soul that is encased in a bodysuit. The three composite parts are expected to be in harmony. Anything to the contrary will be a deficiency.

While the body physically keeps us going, and the soul permits a basic awareness of the physical world, momentary emotions and the habitual way of processing experiences is what we refer to as “personality” or “will”. But the spirit transcends all of these, it allows us to manage not just our physical world and many aspects of our souls, our spirit is our connection to and with GOD.

When you only focus on your body, you’re robbing yourself of living a full life of impact. Without the consciousness of God in your daily experience, your life is superficial, lacks depth and of little impact to your world. If the soul gains supremacy over your spirit, you rob yourself of the supernatural potentials that your spirit can open you up to. On the other hand, if you are only spiritual to the neglect of your body and your soul, you may not live long in addition to the fact that you are most  likely to be earthly irrelevant.

Your three parts must coexist harmoniously. You must have that understanding through knowledge, consciously and positively apply that knowledge in your daily life so that your life can be impactful.

The Bible teaches that humans are tripartite, 1 Thessalonians 5:23; there are also scientific, literary and theological indications that human beings exist at all three levels. With that said, what would you do this knowledge? Wisdom is often defined as the correct application of knowledge.

”If you know these things, you are blessed [happy and favored by God] if you put them into practice [and faithfully do them].“

‭‭John‬ ‭13‬:‭17‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Prayer

Heavenly Father, sometimes, l find some information too complex for my human understanding. This is one of such. Please enlighten my understanding on this subject and grant me the grace to put it into practice. I pray with thanksgiving in Jesus’ name. Amen

What does the scripture say? https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/what-does-the-scripture-say/ Wed, 06 Mar 2024 21:56:47 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=372

”For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.“ ‭‭

Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The children of God are not necessarily those who go to church, have a title of “pastor,” “GO,” or have built a cathedral. They are sons or children of God because they are led by the Spirit of God in their decisions, actions and motives.

This week ( my week starts late!), l encourage you to make a decision to start living by the Word of God, not by people’s opinion and standards nor by legislation or cultural norms and practices that are not aligned with the Word of God.

The benefits of being led by the Spirit of God are many, namely, life and peace; freedom as opposed to captivity; access to the throne of grace where you freely obtain all things that pertain to life and godliness; victory over the flesh, Satan and the world among many other benefits.

Prayer:

My Heavenly Father, I admit that for so long l have been misled by people’s opinions and oftentimes mine as well. I have not experienced tangible peace nor abundance as l desire. Going forward,l surrender my will to you O Lord, lead and direct all my thoughts. Thank you for your help. I pray with thanksgiving in Jesus name. Amen.

The End https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/the-end/ Tue, 03 May 2022 14:37:40 +0000 https://iamawomanofsubstance.org/?p=298

“The END of a matter is better than its BEGINNING…”

The Bible

If you’re like me, you are anxious to know the end of a story line whenever you’re watching a movie. Often, I ask my children, “So what happens next.?” As always, they’ll respond, “Mummywait till the end.” Most of the time, I don’t!

I like how the month-end always puts me in a reflective mode. I like the momentary feeling of a sense of accomplishment it gives me which provokes an excitement inside me that something new is on the horizon. As I reflected on THE END these past  few days, I still am, a certain scripture was imprinted upon my heart. In my reflection the following thoughts came to my heart:

  • What feels like an ending is often the beginning.
  • Sometimes the actual story starts the moment we think the story has ended.
  • Life is an endless journey of an end cascading into a new beginning.
  • Whatever we do in between an end and a beginning prepares us for the next new beginning.
  • Is there an end? Yes there is. . .
“For Christ is the end of the law [it leads to Him and its purpose is fulfilled in Him], for [granting] righteousness to everyone who believes [in Him as Savior].” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The greatest pursuit in life is purpose – your why. Why are you here? Purpose is tied to your identity and vice versa. Myles Monroe says it perfectly, “when purpose is unknown, abuse is inevitable.” When you pursue a cause outside of yourself, there’s an endless joy and a sense of fulfillment that transcends material gains. If your identity is rooted in Christ, He will reveal your purpose to you. Once you know your purpose and you direct all your energy to fulfilling it, you stop searching. You are not easily distracted. You feel fulfilled.

In the scripture referenced above I highlighted Christ is the end to . . . . . . . because I want to encourage you to fill in the blanks. Make a list of habits you want to end in the month of May and  turn them over to Christ.

My coaching practice is faith based. I am on a mission to help you discover your true identity so you can uncover your hidden potentials in order to end your endless struggles as you pursue your purpose.

The next cohort of Authentic You Coaching Program (AUCP) starts on Saturday. I have only two spots left. Why not jump in and register: http://bit.ly/CCCAUCPSignPay.

My promise to you is to help you unpack what has been holding you back from attaining your next level; help you develop actionable steps for your preferred future and embrace your authentic self.  It’s my pleasure to serve you!

Happy new month, and, see you in class!
