Regret is a feeling of sadness, repentance or disappointment over (something that has happened or been done, especially a loss or missed opportunity). Regret empowers Satan to get inside the victim mentally (2 Corinthians 10:3-5), keeping people under it’s captivity joyless, sad and miserable. That is not the abundant life that Christ died to give you!
I love what my Business Coach, Frida Owinga says about regret:
“The past can be a great teacher and a horrible master. Past mistakes and successes carry only lessons. Everything else in them can only get better.
Mistakes are lessons that can aid a better future. They cannot be undone and should not be repeated.
Success is a clue of potential and can be tapped to increase more success.
Look forward because our nature is progression. We are born as babies and we grow. A seed makes a forest. Abundance is our birth right if you can only look around you and pay attention and take action abundance will happen.
Regret and pity drain you of creativity energy. Resist it!”
Here’s what the Bible teaches about the past and the right attitude:
““Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.”
Isaiah 43:18-19 NKJV
Apostle Paul shares his approach towards his past:
“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:13-14 NKJV
Also meditate on:
Ecclesiastes 3:11; 1Corinthians 2:9-10; Romans 12:2;
Romans 5:2-5; Revelation 22:12
Allow the light of these Words of God to transform your mind, (Romans 12:2 AMP) become hopeful and start reaching forth to things ahead of you.
