We are living in a fast paced world.

A rat race sort of. Everyone appears to be in a hurry “to make it”. Some are so “busy” that they hardly have time to rest until their body can no longer take it and they are compelled to be still for a while for the body to recuperate. What we call  dis-ease  is actually the body having discomfort and begging for rest.

You must have scheduled times of rest, when you’re not mentally and physically engaging in any activity, including answering seemingly important telephone calls!

It is another Monday, a good time to focus and or re-focus as your situation demands. Take advantage of new start to do the following:

  • Have an internal dialogue with yourself; ask yourself and define what is important and what is urgent for you.
  • Reorganize your important and urgent lists and focus on URGENT. I have personally discovered that some of what I deemed important are really not urgent, they are distractions; They steal precious time!
  • I have found this acronym helpful:

F.O.C.U.S is an acronym for:

F – first things first

O – other things second

C-cut out on the unimportant

U-unify behind the vision

S- stick with it.

  • Another acronym for FOCUS is “Following One Course Until Successful”
  • Today is Monday, a good time to either FOCUS or REFOCUS- what do you have to do? Take a decision. Take a step . Do it. The blessings are in DOING!
  • Whatever you choose to do, make God your priority. Remember those golden first four words in the Book of life? “In the beginning GOD. . . “ Genesis 1:1
  • Also, schedule a daily downtime for you alone. If you don’t do it, no one can or will do it for you. It is your me-time to reflect, renew, recharge, focus and refocus.

Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.” And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.””

‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:38-42‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
