“For the message of the cross is foolishness [absurd and illogical] to those who are perishing and spiritually dead [because they reject it], but to us who are being saved [by God’s grace] it is [the manifestation of] the power of God.”
– 1 Corinthians 1:18 AMP
Easter is regarded as the most important holiday of the Christian Church calendar. It celebrates Jesus’s resurrection from the dead after he was crucified for the sins of the world- this is the central tenet of the Christian faith.
Easter celebration is a week-long (referred to as the Holy Week) event that allows Christians an opportunity to reflect upon the shift in humanity when Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross was launched. It starts with Palm Sunday when Jesus enters the city of Jerusalem. The week leads through the Last Supper, His crucifixion, and ends on Easter Sunday with His resurrection. This is the basis of Christianity. Jesus’ sacrifice launched the New Covenant God promised and which many had prophesied throughout the Old Testament.
“By enduring and defeating death sacrificially for people, Jesus swung open the gates of heaven making a way for sins to be forgiven and usher anyone who believes in Him into the presence of God“
(Romans 5:8).
“But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.”
I Corinthians 15:13-15, 17-19 NKJV
What a great salvation Read Hebrews 2:2-4 Christ offered to humanity! It is a salvation that brings hope, destroys guilt and condemnation; offers eternal life of peace and joy; it offers also an abundance of everything that is good, godly and righteous.
Will you accept this great salvation? I enjoin you to do so without further delay!
Happy Easter!
O what a wonderful, wonderful day, day I will never forget;
After I’d wandered in darkness away, Jesus, my Savior, I met.
O what a tender, compassionate friend, He met the need of my heart;
Shadows dispelling, with joy I am telling, He made all the darkness depart.
Chorus
Heaven came down and glory filled my soul, (filled my soul)
When at the cross the Savior made me whole; (made me whole)
My sins were washed away and my night was turned to day,
Heaven came down and glory filled my soul! (filled my soul)
Born of the Spirit with life from above into God’s family divine,
Justified fully thru Calvary’s love, O what a standing is mine!
And the transaction so quickly was made, when as a sinner I came,
Took of the offer, of grace He did proffer, He saved me, O praise His dear name!
Chorus
Now I’ve a hope that will surely endure after the passing of time;
I have a future in heaven for sure there in those mansions sublime.
And it’s because of that wonderful day, when at the cross I believed;
Riches eternal and blessings supernal, from His precious hand I received.
Chorus

Yes, I do accept.
If Christ was not risen, our faith and preaching is empty. I love this part
