On February 25, 2022, history was made again when the first black woman, Judge Ketanji Browwas nominated to serve on the United States Supreme Court. Jackson, 51, on the day of her nomination, a mother of two and Harvard Law School graduate, introduced herself to the nation by thanking God,“I must begin these very brief remarks by thanking God for delivering me to this point in my professional journey,” she said. “My life has been blessed beyond measure. And I do know that one can only come this far by faith.

In the past two years, we had Kamala Harris sworn in as the First Female Vice President of the United States. At 22, Amanda Gorman became the youngest inaugural poet in United States history on Jan. 20, 2021, when she recited her poem “The Hill We Climb” at President Joe Biden’s swearing-in ceremony; Gitanjali Rao, 15, was named TIME’s first Kid of the Year in December 2020. Rao has “used science to tackle issues from contaminated drinking water to opioid addiction to cyberbullying,” Chloé Zhao became the First Asian Woman and Second Woman to Win Best Director at the Golden Globes. On November 2, 2020 Nanaia Mahuta became the First Indigenous Female Foreign Minister of New ZealandHayley Arceneaux became the Youngest Woman to Go to Space on September 15, 2021. Ngozi Okonjo-Iwealathe first female Finance Minister in Nigeria,  is notably the first woman and first African to lead the World Trade Organization as Director-General. The list goes on. . . It will appear as if in the Creator’s divine plan and agenda, it is the season for women to arise and begin to shine exceptionally.
